This past week, Saamis Immigration Services Association (SISA) celebrated World Refugee Day with a series of impactful events. On June 20, the Passages training session at the Esplanade was a great success. Participants shared their feelings during the debriefings, making it a truly meaningful experience.
On Saturday, June 22, SISA partnered with the Medicine Hat Library to host the Refugee Film Festival. Two powerful films were screened, and SISA presented informative displays with pictures and facts from various countries, enriching our understanding of the refugee experience.
We were thrilled to see the community come together to learn, share, and support one another!
